Again, take care no touch the glass the oils on your skin will be deposited on the bulb, which may cause a hot spot and prematurely shorten the life of the element ( or so we are told.) > Remove the replacement bulb from it's packaging. > Clean the gunk from your hands before proceeding If you are saving this bulb, take care not to touch any of the glass surface with your bare fingers.
